International School of Yoga Studies 200 Hour YTT reviews

Jeanne Dippenaar, 2025

I was fortunate enough to recently participate in Amanda's comprehensive 200 hour yoga teacher training course in Gqeberha, and it certainly was next level! I've participated in numerous trainings over the decades, and I can honestly say that this training stood out as having an exceptionally high international standard.

Amanda is not only highly competent, erudite and experienced in the ancient science and spiritual art of yoga and all that pertains to this vast field; she is also compassionate, leading from her heart and embodies the life of a true yogini, something one rarely witnesses.

Amanda made the training fun and enjoyable at the same time she demands a high level of commitment and dedication as these are the qualities she exemplifies. She has the art of intuiting our strengths and drawing the best out of us, honing our individual skills. We primarily learnt through entrainment as moving along with Amanda's demonstrations made it practical and easy for our bodies to encode the correct postures.

If you have the opportunity to train with Amanda at her international school, I'd highly recommend that you jump at the opportunity!

Thank you, Amanda, for all those details that you went to in order to make our experience a deluxe one, like making peppermint spray for the bathroom and the lavish and delicious snacks and lunches; being so considerate of our needs and always making yourself available if we needed extra time.

At the age of 64, and with various physical limitations, you didn't turn me away and tell me I was too old to consider a career change, and that in itself was so validating. Now, after the  training, I feel so enriched, empowered and excited to start concretising the dreams of my golden years!

For this and so much more, I am truly grateful and  feel  so  blessed to have had this opportunity to train with you.  Jeanne

Belinda van Antwerp, 2025

I recently completed my 200hour yoga teacher training through the International School of yoga studies with Amanda and it was truly life changing. Amanda has a wealth of knowledge and experience which she shares so generously , going out of her way to ensure that each student feels supported every step of the way. Amanda is kind ,compassionate, fun and professional and a true light on the path. Her enthusiasm for life is infectious. I feel so fortunate for having been able to do this under her tutorage here in Gqeberha. Thank you Amanda

Chandre', 2025

Amanda's yoga teaching style is empowering. I met her at the gym, and she helped me push beyond my boundaries. When she returned to SA and taught at the International School of Yoga Studies, I packed up my car and my almost 11-year-old furry boy, and we traveled from the Western Cape to the Eastern Cape to continue learning from her.

During training, I suffered an injury from a hike, spraining my ankle, knee, and shoulder. But Amanda's guidance and support helped me persevere. Now, I'm recovering and rebuilding strength.

What impresses me most about Amanda is her selflessness and dedication - she gives 100% to her students, even while caring for her sick mother. She's an amazing teacher and person, always willing to help others achieve their potential. Thanks to Amanda's encouragement and support, I never gave up on my training and exams. I'm excited to continue my yoga journey and growth with Amanda in the future. She's truly a gem.

🌟✨💫 Amanda's yoga classes are more than just physical practice - they bring people together. Despite our differences in language, culture, and background, when we come together on the mat, it's as if we're one community, united in breath and movement.

Namaste 🙏

Tammy, 2025

Amanda is truly the most incredible human being I have had the privilege of crossing paths with. Doing the yoga teacher training with her was an absolutely life changing experience! We learnt SO much and I am so incredibly grateful to have been a part of this journey with her. I couldn’t recommend Amanda enough; she is a plethora of knowledge and just being in her presence is truly life enriching. She is the best of the best and anyone would be so lucky to learn from and work with her.

Lisakhanya May 07, 2025

Over the past 8 weeks, I’ve had the privilege of learning from one of the most inspiring yoga teachers I’ve ever encountered. Guiding a group of ten students through this transformative journey, she has offered exceptional support, wisdom, and compassion every step of the way. Her ability to create a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment helped each of us grow not only as future yoga teachers but also as individuals. She truly understood the balance between technique and soul, ensuring that our college experience was not just about learning postures, but about embracing the essence of yoga. Every class was more than just instruction—it was a journey inward. Her encouragement, patience, and unwavering belief in us turned what could have been a daunting process into one of joy, connection, and profound growth. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a truly gifted and dedicated yoga teacher. This journey wouldn’t have been the same without her, and I am deeply grateful.

For "Inversion Intensive focusing on Shirshasana and Sarvangasana - 7 CE HOURS" completed on Jun 17, 2023

Amanda has acute knowledge and understanding of the physiology of Shirshasana and Sarvangasana. Because of this her guidance for warm up poses and preliminary preparation for each pose offers a safe and effective foundation for moving into the pose. No matter the level of your students they will benefit using her instructions. She makes each pose accessible to all. Thank you Amanada !!

For "THE FIVE VAYUS -7 CE HOURS" completed on Jun 10, 2023

Outstanding course. Amanda is a gifted teacher. She is able to choose words and demonstrate the asanas in a way that everyone can have a deep experience. She knows yoga from the inside-out and is able to guide students to do the same. She is very professional and very fun-natured so the course is both deep and delightful.
